Dinosaurs from Pluto

Ok so not really, but last time Mom & I went to the grocery store, we saw an interesting fruit labelled as "Dinosaur Eggs". On the sticker on the fruit, it said "pluot" and that it was grown in California. I'd show you a picture but Mom sliced 'em up before I could.

I actually did a MSN search (!!!!!!!) for these guys and came up with this and this. And that's about it for the top ten. (but then again, do we really need any more at present?)

Well, they looke like speckled apple/plums on the outside and the redder and squishier they are on the inside, the riper and sweeter they are. They are rather sweet, problem is, after eating a few, my neck started to protest so I think I might be allergic to them. :-(

Anyway, they're plum hybrids so good luck in finding some!
