Sock It To Me!
Wanna see my infamous sock drawer?! Well, here it is!!! And in my infamous 10-color dresser too!

So when I complain about not finding the right kinds of colored socks these days, now you know what I'm talking about!
And here's a pic of the dresser too!

Now you also know about this infamous thing the Sherwin-Williams guys want a picture of. Yes there are 10 different colors on that dresser and yes I really did paint it myself. Still got extra paint just in case. I originally wanted standard 7-color spectrum for it but given how there are 6 drawers and 2 doors...well, that just wasn't gonna work. So I used my self-painted bedroom walls and my Yellow Submarine action figure collection (they don't reside on the dresser) as inspiration. It was painted over the course of many mornings while Season 2 of ER blared in the background. The white sections are actually a kind of paint called EverClear. You can draw/write on it and then wash it off. I haven't had the heart to try that part out yet cuz it just looks so good without it!
Incidentally, there's no consensus on what the top looks like:

Are they Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans? Good n' Plenty? Gummy Worms? What are they?

Booting Up?
<snickers> Looks like someone over at Worth1000.com has photoshopped a boot that's the same make as mine. Now will that image stick with me when I open my closet? ;-D
It's the final image on that page so scroll down!

Introducing "Violet Skies"!
Took one of my older, misused, and near-dead blogs, moved it to my own server, gave it a new look, tweaked the code many times, had to learn new Blogger stuff, bought a new music album, and voilà! A semi-new blog!
Violet Skies is meant to be my music-related blog and ONLY music related. <everyone else pouts but understands>
I've got a sister blog with similar story for all of my movie-related stuff in the works as well but it ain't ready yet. Technically, neither is Violet Skies, but I just bought a new album today so why not? Input would be greatly appreciated! I know there's a lot of filler over there and some of it will stay, some of it will go, and some of it will change. Please let me know!
Oh and you probably want a link: Violet Skies. Thank you!

The results are in...
And (as I said earlier today): "In Heinz-sight, Kerry couldn't ketch-up."
Which means that Bush is the weiner!
Hey ObeeKris- what took y'all so long?! ;-D

Vote! Vote! Vote!
Unlike 2 years ago, the 3 of us decided to go to the polls together during the "off hours"- like say 11am. Not quite lunchtime. Well, for starters, Dad and I didn't behave much given that it was "early in the morning" and we were *in line* with no chairs and no hope of getting to vote within 30 minutes. The first person to pass us going out said the wait was about 1 hour and 20 minutes. This number steadily increased and by the time it was all over, we'd been there for about 1 hour and 50 minutes. That's a lot of standing and being very silly in the voting line.
Now as for me, there was 1 person we had to write in because for some dumb reason their name didn't get on the ballot. The US Senate race here for me was bunk because I didn't like ANYBODY so I didn't vote on that one. And the little "cheat sheet" I take in with me (my list of candidates so I don't have to memorize them) didn't fail me, but my eyes did: I forgot to transcribe one (the School District) so I didn't vote on that one either. So unlike last time where I recall voting on every issue, this time I didn't vote on 2: one because I didn't like what I saw, and one because I forgot!
I've got Brokaw on the tv and I'm watching the race results. As of right now, Kerry's got nearly all of New England, and Bush has almost all of the South plus a straight North-to-South line in the Midwest. Voting is VERY regional right now. This should be interesting...
