Stupid Criminals hit home

Or rather our van. I don't know if I should mention these things are not as it's still an ongoing investigation, but there was nothing in the van to indicate that it belongs to the family of Rainbow Heron. That said, here are some VERY TRUE idiotic things about the jackasses who stole our van and no I'm not making these up:

VANdalism part 2

When we went to MUSC for the first day of testing, our van got stolen in the middle of the night hours before we were to enter the hospital. Yesterday, we went back to MUSC for the results (also turned out to be our last day at MUSC supposedly ever on this issue) and within hours of leaving the hospital, we got our van back.

THEY FOUND OUR VAN!!!

The van is mostly okay and is in the shop right now getting some minor repairs (like the ignition) and getting a major cleaning out. Whoever stole it took it on a 550 mile joyride and was VERY sloppy. Not just cuz of all the cigarette crap or dried leaves on the floor, but because of all the mistakes and stuff they left glaring us in the face.

I'd be willing to bet we catch these guys and I bet we get 'em before Labor Day.

The word on the test results is that no I'm not gonna die and yes we can treat it. I'm still not quite sure what to make of the results cuz the wording sounds weird to me (PLEASE don't make me go thru those circles again) but we can definately attack this thing and hopefully even *beat* it!!! Thank you for all of your prayers regarding these 2 issues!

Things I haven't been blogging about lately that I really should have been blogging about.

the return of the AMWA virus: I knew the moment I decided to put up a page about it on the AMWA For Newbies site that it would return. Only THIS TIME I'm printing out full headers. I'll get you yet sucka!!!

Harry Potter I read all 5 Harry Potter books in 6 days (started the day #5 came out) and now I am hopelessly hooked.

Twister? A week ago, we had a really bad summer storm and for the first time in a VERY LONG time, I had to goto the center of the house. Problem is, where we're living now *has no* center of the house! Everything's got outside walls, direct access to windows (a skylight in one case) or there's no way to brace one's self against the walls. The only real center of the house are the washer/dryer which is a major no-no and that triangular closet I'm always complaining about. Y'know, stuff like "you can't put a large rectangle (like a towel) into a cramped triangle?.

Mom had called saying she thought she'd seen some green sky (tornado warning at some times). Since I had been unplugging and replugging stuff in several times for the past 2 hours or so, I unloaded the bottom of that thing and squeezed in. I don't know how long I was in there, but I don't think l'll complain about it as often as I do. At least, until another rectangle needs closeting.

Summer storms: Theeeeeeeeeey're he-re! Oh joy. :-P

Camera: Dad brought home a widget 2 nights ago: a DIGITAL CAMERA! This oughta be GOOD :-)...

Legally Blonde: Rented the first, saw the second in the theater. First one good, second not as good but it was good to see the homeland again.

Bridget Jones' Diary: Didn't like it. Shoulda had entries and stuff all thru the movie like in the beginning. Plus the plot just didn't feel right. Good to see Darcy again tho- and he smiles too! :-)

8 Mile: We all know I don't like sex in the movies and so I wasn't wild about that. Now the swearing part they can get away with because that's how they talk so it's not gratuitous. As for the overall movie, I liked it. As for Eminem- I can see where he doesn't want Al to do the music video for Couch Potato, but if he didn't want that, he should've let Al even do the song. I want to see a vid, but I can certainly understand where Eminem is coming from. He's still a jerk in that he can dish it out but can't take it.

the record button: I hate the fact that the record button for my radio is clear across the room and as a result, I haven't had much more than absolute zilch in the radio tapes department. No I don't rip, burn, and distribute.

Y'know, I know there's more, but I can't think of 'em right now....

NPR on MPs

Normally I don't listen to NPR but last night I was going thru the channels trying to find something interesting when I landed on NPR *just* as they started a piece on weblogging (just call it "blogging" fer cryin'out loud!) and MPs who've decided to get in on them.

Now anyone who reads Bloggerheads will know exactly what I'm talking about here when I say that NPR was talking mainly about Tom Watson and his blog. Apparently he's been getting somet hate mail as well. The point is, I nearly screamed when I heard NPR mention that Tim Ireland (Maniac) helped Mr. Watson set it up. I thought Maniac would be tickled- but then I remembered he lives in the UK. So I emailed him about it.

True to form, Maniac is much faster than I am on these things and posted about all this on his blog today. I tell ya, it's weird getting a mention in someone else's blog, but more power to the cause! Rock on dude and thanks!

Houston, we've got company...

Alright, I don't know why or HOW it's happened, but someone else's blog is showing up right here. Yeah, I don't get it. The blog is jasika.blogspot.com and there's in her source code to indicate there's anything suspicious going on so I'm at a loss for an explanation. Until then, this post probably ain't gonna show up for awhile and it'll be all over by then anyway. :-/

I've got screencaps so we'll be able to commemorate this particularly weird blug.

Thought about this for a while...

And posted it to RASSM and thought about posting it here cuz it really should go here.


However this brings a thought to mind I've been chewing on for a while
and I'd like to spit it out somewhere if you please.

You have the word "horrific" which means something is "horrible" which
looks an awful lot like the word "horror". So "horrific" is something
bad and something you should be afraid of.

Then you have the word "terrific" which looks like the word "terrible"
which brings us to the word "terror". So what is "terrible"?

Yes I think I think too much and yes I'll post a review of the July 4 concert but I'll do that later on.
