ISP changling update

Good News: My ISP was nice enough to transfer my entire site for me (YIPEEEE!!!!)

Duh News: ...but I still gotta update everything as well as change all the links.

Bad News: My ISP has decided that everyone will only get 10mgs of space and from the tone of my tech support guy- I'm well over that limit.

Will get News: My tech support guy will call me back on Monday to hopefully get me some more space *you can tell I called tech support today)

RHBlog News: We've got a snazzier archives page!


And the links go marching one by one...

At least you have them: the link to the Bluggers' Blog and also a brand-new blog which I'm gonna be using for various stuff. I've been wanting to put together the full fanfic for Alice and the Jump-DMC crew for a long time and since it always comes in bits and pieces, I thought well...why not?

Changeover

SNOW 2003!!!

As custom in our house whenever it snows during the night: Mom woke me up and I looked thru my bedroom window and saw SNOW!!! After deliberating for a few minutes as to whether or not I should (and could) get up, I did. I got dressed,d grabbed the camer, and went outside to take a few shots of the virgin show. <::MAJOR SIGH::> Even saw the garbage/recycle guys pick up the stuff while in the snow. I called my Aunt & cousins to see if they had noticed the snow and if they wanted us to come over and take pix of them in the snow and we went.

Mom & I went over after breakfast and gave thema good education on snow (this is the South after all, no one knows what to REALLY do with snow around here :-P~). The surprising treat was that when we went over to Aunt C's to see Papa and "my two little cousins", they all took off thus leaving me with the girls and their friends. I "chaperoned" as two of their friends came over to go take a walk in the snow. We walked thru the woods, near the water tower, into one of the public baseball parks, back thru the wrong complex, onto the sidewalk, and then back home. Of course they were all throwing snowballs at each other the whole time. :-D

I WISH I'd had the camera while we were in those woods!!! <::MAJOR BIG SIGH::>

I love snow!!! I miss snow!!! And now the snow is melting...it didn't say in the forecasts (tho we've been mentioned on Weather Channel repeatedly today) that we'd get snow, but according to them, the snow will return on Monday. Somehow I doubt it, but I would LOVE IT!!! A one-day snow. I should go get that one joke pic I thought up quickly before it's gone!!! <leaves>

I'm not happy about this

Going on four years now with my urls looking the exact same way the did before and yesterday I get a 72-hour notice that my ISP is doing away with InfoAve. Now I gotta go thru each and every single solitary webpage and blog I have and change all of the urls everywhere because of it. But it's not just that no no no- I gotta change my FTP connection cuz I won't be connecting to InfoAve anymore so I'll probably be on tech support for that and I *should* ask them about anti-spam while I'm at it cuz when 90% of all incoming email is trash... What's worse, Dad's out of town and his computer's off and given how badly his computer adjusts to the seperation anxiety (read: it doesn't)...

But it doesn't stop even there- I gotta change all of my bravenet and other similar stuffs' accounts, all of my sigs with urls in them <hears gasping and weeping>, and finally post to about 4 newsgroups and also an emailing list telling everyone to update their links and bookmarks. And if the search engines don't like that either, well, they still think my Weird Al site address is where it was 2 years ago so f*** 'em.

Chaos starts on Monday and it all has to be done by Feb 4th and noon local time. Which means, me being the GAD/procrastinator that I am, I'll miss some stuff and it'll be in limbo for three months. :-P Good thing we've got caffine in the house. Now I just gotta go make me a "do not disturb" sign...

The Italian cousins came over today and we all had a nice visit. Lots of puns but no pasta, and there were just the two of them this time. It's interesting to see the man behind the email since it's been so many years since I've seen him, and I was *WAY* too young to remember her last time I saw her. Got a coupla pix (sorry, not for rhblog) to remember.
