How'z 21?

Well, I don't know so far. I've only been 21 for about 6 hours (5 of which I slept thru) but it is a little weird to think that I can walk into a liquor store and buy something and then drink it.

See most people when they reach those "milestone ages" get bitten bad by the bug that is "now you're old enough to do it" and then they go off and do it.

I didn't get bitten too bad by the driving age and whenever I did drive, I had high anxieties (alto I have no problem on private roads and subdivisions). I didn't bitten by the "buy beer at age 18" cuz I thought it was odd that you can buy it but you can't drink it. And now that I'm 21, I really don't wanna drink.

Lucky for us, alcohol doesn't jive well with my current medication. :-D

There *was* one bug I got bitten by: voting. It was a big deal for me to cast a ballot in 2000. I voted for my president and against gambling. I was hurt when the education candidate I had voted for lost (education is big for me), and it was fun to watch the whole voting night fiasco. I KNEW I should've taped Brokaw's vote-counting broadcast! I KNEW IT! But I didn't. :-( Jolly good entertainment! The man's got class and was a real trooper for sticking that mess out that night.

Anyway, I'm not bitten by the alcohol bug and never have been. All I do know is that when New Year's comes around, I can have a few sips without thinking the cops are gonna bust my parents for it. Mom & Dad are off the hook now! :-)
