I Can't Believe I've Actually Gone This Long Without Blogging

I miss it. I REALLY miss it. :-( Real Life has been very busy, yet at the moment I can only think of a few things to update you on:

Friend Found! I found an old online pal of mine tonight!

New Law, New School The Homeschooling Association here in SC changed their laws this year and I was able to enroll as a 23-year-old student! Adult Education didn't work out (that's a blogpost in itself).

TIMBER! One of the reasons we bought this house was for the foliage. Now more of it's being chopped down. The latest victim? The crepe myrtle at the gate. The gate's going to go this winter too. :-( As are the 6 junipers. <weeps>

Bike I finally got a new bike but it's been way to danged hot down here to ride it. $400+ and I've only ridden it twice! :-P

Katrina's Troubles While I feel for the disabled and poor who were not able to leave early, all I have to say is that the Mayor of New Orleans appears to not have read the cover of his copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The Mayors of Galveston and Houston obviously did.

Disappointed in CNN Maybe it's because I don't know snot about politics, but I *do* know something about natural disasters- the "reporters" on the cable news networks (mainly CNN here, NBC excluded) have been asking some really STUPID questions! The upside is that the authorities and others have been answering the STUPID questions as if they were SMART questions so no harm done.

Trump's Back! And ER! Very happy.

Pool I bought a new bathing suit this year and have only been swimming once. Once again, the heat is to blame. I just don't have the energy.

Yoga Bought my own copies of most of the yoga cds we use in class and having a blast with them! Also bought 2 books, the one I've actually finished is called Yoga For Depression. Good stuff! (except for all the Buddist stuff which I crossed out)

Another good book. How To Be A Villian. Hilarious!

Firefox The Swiss Army Knife of web broswers, I think I can now officially say that I am a Firefox user and and IE user no more. I also just downloaded tons of extensions the other night including the 1337 key.

iPod To buy or not to buy. That is the question.

RAINBOW! When Katrina's edges passed by us, one of the most GORGEOUS rainbows I ever saw accompanied a WONDERFUL sunset! I wish I had had a camera- there were *4* rainbows!

New Newsgroup I finally started posting to alt.fan.harry-potter after lurking there since November. I'm still not caught up. I also had a visit from Morpheus. :-) Same story there.

Fluffy There's a big white fluffy cat next door who moved in when the new neighbors moved in. His name is *not* fluffy, but to me, that kind of cat *has* to be named "Fluffy" for some reason. His name is Jack and apparently, we're the only neighbors who seem to like him. ?-/ Apparently he's not known to be a welcomed cat. :-(

Peppermint Tea Good stuff.

Froggage We have frogs. Lots of frogs. They don't make noise. Really they don't. :-)

Well, that's the extremely shortened version of what's been going on. Normally I'd write more (I think) but it's almost 1 am and that's a bit late for me to be staying up these days. (SHH! Don't tell anyone I said that!)
