TTT
I went to see LOTR:TTT tonight. Don't have as much to say on the matter except for these:
I ***LOVE*** the Ents!!!! Those are those walking trees. The .sigerette tree has made some friends and with a few connections, we may have a few .sigEnts or something soon! I also can't get over the urge to sing "This is the Forest Of No Return!" whenever one of them starts talking. ;-)
I heard the Wilhem Scream! During the battle of Helm's Deep- one of the first Elves to die and fall into the uruk-hai at the start of the battle. Not only does he get most of the screen to himself, but he also gets most of the scream to himself. :-)
And yes the other girls are right: Legolas is not only a beautiful guy, but he's super cool too! I started to form that opinion on the last movie (which I've only seen twice and it had to grow on me). I'm loving these Elves but it's kinda hard to think of their leader as Agent Smith from The Matrix. And speaking of cool guys- Sam's also right up there with the Cool Guys of LOTR.
Dwarf-tossing. Don't worry, I won't tell the Elf. ;-)
The ending leaves you hanging SO BAD! I said aloud "that's it?!" at the end. That's the biggest cliffhanger ending I've ever had! I'm more used to shock factor, but cliffhangers just get my goat if I think about them so I usually don't. At least I know there'll be a third movie. Strangely enough, ESB held no cliffhanger for me because I was told that it was the last one (when I first saw it and it was the first Star Wars movie I ever saw) so I just assumed that Han was rescued.
Gollum is indeed a good character and excellent CG rendering, but anyone who sees that (or hears his voice) has GOT to give excellent Mad Props to my man Jar Jar Binks for being the first thru the door. Dobby and Gollum owe that Gungan a LOT!
Is it just me or does anyone else still have trouble and keep getting "Sarumon" and "Sauron" confused? Or did the author do that on purpose?
The Dead Marshes conjured images of the Tree of the Dead in Sleepy Hollow. The Headless Horseman would certainly love it there methinks...the evil one that is. Does that bog smell perchance?
Not enough Ents or Gandalf, but then again, Gandalf seems to have developed a tiny bit of ego along with a bleached cloak. Btw, is "Gandalf" supposed to sound like it's a cop-out version of "grand elf"? Just checking cuz that one's been bothering me too.
Grima (the slimy pale servant guy in black) reminds me of Professor Snape, but Snape's by far more likeable.
This movie was FUNNY! Much humor here, tho don't kid yourself about Gollum's talking to himself. As funny as it *sounds*, to someone who has inner conflicts (especially when never vocalized), there's nothing funny about it.
The georgraphy of Middle Earth is mind-boggling. May I please have a 101 course? I have a map and still can't understand it...
That big firey eye in that tower looks like it's inside a plasma ball with all that electricity sometimes.
Well, that's most of it. Letcha know if I think of anything else! :-) Great movie!!! And LOVE the opening shot!!! WOAH MAN!
