Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

After many years and many wrestles with myself, I decided yesterday to finally go under the scissors for some major snippage. I'm talking about my hair. All my life I've wanted long hair and having it waist-length is my preferred length. However, due to my major pet peeves of having some major breakages (resulting in having to braid my hair more than once during the day due to it fraying), I've finally decided (but more importantly actually acted upon that desicion) to cut it.

Yeah, that big "C" word: cut. Well, since keeping a 12" lock of hair in a dresser drawer ain't an option for me, I'm gonna give to Locks of Love. I know being sick ain't no fun (another reason for cutting the hair is to see whether my migraines and seizures subside a bit) and I'm certain that someone out there who's bald due to sickness is equally sick over losing their hair. Yes I hacked my hair and I feel a little sick about it, but I know others are even sicker about it but they didn't have that choice.

One foot...of hair. That silver blip is an Ohio State Quarter

Don't worry, I still got "long" hair (but to me it's medium bordering on short), and we did take some pix yesterday for comparison and I reckon we'll grab the "after" pix tomorrow when it isn't raining. I'll post those pix when I can. And no I did not pick up an *Ohio* state quarter for any specific reason other than it was just the nearest thing I could grab for scale.
