11th Hour Voting

So we got up, braved a family with 2 hyperactive kids trying to get to school, lots of wrong turns, torrential rain, thick fog, and major idiots going 65mph in the fast lane all the way from Arlington Va to home right here in SC's heartland so that we could vote.

I know that sounds like I'm exaggerating but I'm not- I entered my "voting booth" at 6:30pm. And I sucessfully voted my governor out of office!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course I'm eating some of my words since I said (on the road) that if we didn't make it, I didn't think it would matter cuz the governor's race wouldn't likely be a close one. I was wrong. CNN's first projection of Hodges vs Sandford showed that it was neck-and-neck. :-P At least my guy won! :-D

...in *that* race anyway. I lost only 1 guy this time, but then again I only voted on 3 races and 2 resolutions...whereas 2 years ago I voted on EVERYTHING. Funny how TNT was also showing the same episode of Law & Order as they did that same night 2 years ago when Florida was giving Tom Brokaw (and the rest of us) major hell.
