Black Boots

It's happened: 3 pairs of black boots are now in my arsenal! Number 4 is expected in January after the freeze. 2 for dress, 2 for the rest.

Today we went to Red Wing to replace my second pair of Red Wing boots (got my first in 8th grade) which finally died on me this past winter. Since then my only real pair of day-to-day shoes has been a clone (yes I found an identical pair 2-3 years later) of some Skeechers I got in high school. Wearing 3 layers of socks to keep warm while wearing "tennis shoes" is nuts. Wearing 1 or 2 layers of socks to keep warm while wearing boots is smart.

I'm so glad I got some decent boots back. I'm not glad that the Red Wing boot-makers decided to make the womens' "boots" not look or even really *be* boots. I am VERY glad, that the employee there today saw that and made the appropriate "adjustment". Now let's hope Dad doesn't confuse mine for his. ;-D
